Stretching is everything

Most of us start the day by turning off the alarm, rolling off the end of the bed and dashing around the house in the morning trying to get ready for the day ahead of us. Getting kids fed,packed lunches made and running out the door, so we are not late for work or the school run.


You would never leave the house without brushing your teeth,showering, eating or drinking but you would leave the house without stretching. Most of us sleep curled up in a fetal position without realising it.


When we wake up in the morning, we are so focussed on getting on with the day, we do not consider how our bodies feel and how we have slept.


Setting the alarm just a few minutes earlier to allow yourself to have a few minutes to stretch out your body could make such a difference to how you feel for the rest of the day.


Stretching out your body can make you feel energetic and enthusiastic for your day. It lifts your mood and puts a spring in your step.


Try it tomorrow, you deserve a few minutes just for you.
